We all know that children in the UK get free eye tests and glasses whilst in full-time education. But how many parents actually take the children for the tests? Sadly not as many as you think.

Lions members are trialling a Vision Screening system in schools. The first pilot day was recently held in Essex. A huge thanks to the Head, teachers, and children of Lyons Hall Primary School in Essex for their kind support. On the first day, 276 children and 26 adults were screened with 30 referred for further examination by ophthalmic professionals. They have already asked us to go back and continue the screening.
